The Leisure and Partnerships segment of Avis Budget Group is critical to the success of the UK business, and is made up of a number of varied accounts and partners. As the Leisure and Partnerships Customer Executive, you will support the Head of Leisure and Partnerships to deliver the key objectives for the indirect sector for the UK. You will manage the day to day activities of all indirect leisure accounts trading in the UK, and develop new accounts to trading stage. This includes partnerships, brokers, tour operators, travel agents, small partners and affiliates. You will work with the Head of L&P to maximise profitability of existing accounts, as well as sourcing and developing new opportunities to grow the business.

What you’ll do

  • Work with existing partners to ensure we are maximising organic growth
  • Conduct competitor analysis and feed back to Head of L & P
  • Management of customer service issues
  • Work closely with Account Services in the handling of rate / Wizard related queries
  • Handle payments to suppliers in CODA
  • Work closely with Partnerships Marketing Executive to execute all marketing activity associated with key accounts.
  • Chair regular performance meetings with strategic accounts
  • Source new partnership opportunities and oversee implementation of new accounts
  • Provide out of office cover for when Head of L&P is not available
  • Continually analyse performance trends and identify growth opportunities
  • Production of performance reports with commentary and recommendations for actions

Who’s right for the job?

You will have at least 3 years’ experience in account management, preferably in a commercial environment. Experience in the car rental industry would be advantageous but not necessary.

Skills crucial for success in this role

  • Strong commercial and numeracy skills
  • Good communication, negotiation and presentation skills
  • Ability to handle complex customer service issues and offer resolutions
  • Strong systems literacy
  • The ability to analyse performance trends and identify growth opportunities
  • A knowledge of car rental would be advantageous, but not essential
  • Ability to be self-motivated and task focussed
  • Resilience and self-motivation
  • The ability to adapt and adjust to business requirements
  • Chairing regular performance meetings with strategic accounts
  • Sourcing new partnership opportunities and overseeing implementation of new accounts
  • Providing out of office cover for when Head of L&P is not available
  • Continually analysing performance trends and identifying growth opportunities
  • Production of performance reports with commentary and recommendations for actions.

The role is home based, however a planned one day a week visit to the Bracknell offices will ensure consistent communication with Head of L & P and the wider business, including the Marketing team.
