Local Business Development Manager – Field Based – Midlands – Avis Budget Group 

We have an exciting opportunity for a confident and performance focused individual to join our Business Development team.

This role will sit within our UK business and the main focus will be to deliver new business sales to support the growth of our UK Midlands Operations.

You will be managing the sales cycle and this will include prospect generation, winning the account and developing it to its full potential.  You will also work closely and interact with our local stations and identify opportunities on how to best grow the revenue for the region.

Please note: this is a field based role, and regular travel around the Midlands is required. You will also be required to travel to Bracknell, Berkshire on a monthly basis.

Key Responsibilities – Local Business Development Manager

  • Owning the sales and marketing plan for the region and working closely with rental stores to grow revenue and profitability within the area
  • Actively seeking new business development opportunities within region, identifying potential new clients, self-generating leads, and effectively winning new business
  • Presenting ABG products to prospective customers
  • Working within a targeted environment to ensure that business objectives are achieved

What we are looking for

  • Business to business sales experience in a service led industry essential
  • A commercially aware individual with the ability to proactively problem solve
  • Ideally current or prior experience in the car rental industry and/or selling to fleet managers/contract hire companies
  • Ability to deal with a high activity calendar in the SME arena
  • An individual who is confident selling solutions as opposed to products
  • Strong presentation skills

You will be tenacious with a natural desire to win and do what’s right the customer. This role is an excellent opportunity for a proven new business sales person to take the next step in their career with a global brand.
